Cryogenic Head Protection for LNG & Liquid Nitrogen Environments — Down to -196°C
The GERF® Cryogenic Helmet Faceshield is engineered for industrial professionals working with liquid nitrogen, LNG, and other cryogenic liquids. Designed to protect against cryogenic splashes and impact hazards, this helmet-and-visor system delivers certified performance in the most demanding low-temperature environments.
Key Features
- Injection-molded polycarbonate visor — shaped to cover the front and sides of the face; pivots up and away when the task is complete for hands-free convenience.
- Ratchet headband system — adjustable from 55 cm to 63 cm head circumference for a secure, personalized fit.
- Tilt mechanism — smooth visor swing for quick transitions between protected and open positions.
- ANSI Z87.1+ certified — meets impact and splash resistance requirements for both the visor and the helmet shell.
- Type I, Class E & G helmet — high-impact polymer shell reduces force and penetration from top-of-head impacts; Class E rated for protection against high-voltage conductors.
- 3-band textile suspension (polyamide) with 8 anchor points for superior shock absorption and stability.
- Universal cup-type insert slot — compatible with 3- or 4-point chin strap assembly.
