GERF® Cryogenic Protection Vest & Bag Kit

Designed for high-risk cryogenic environments, the GERF® Double-Sided Waterproof Vest provides certified upper-body protection against cryogenic liquid splashes and contact exposure at temperatures down to -196°C (-320°F) — suitable for liquid nitrogen (LN₂), liquid oxygen (LOX), and liquid argon (LAr) handling applications.

Construction & Materials

• Multi-layer insulation system with double-sided waterproof barrier, compliant with EN 511 cold protection requirements
• Cryogenic-grade waterproof leather reinforcement on the shoulder panel, engineered to resist friction and thermal shock from direct contact with cryogenic hoses and thermoses
• High-tenacity nylon stitching with double-stitched seam reinforcement for structural integrity under mechanical stress
• Highly durable blue king outer shell, resistant to abrasion and cryogenic fluid permeation

Ergonomics & Fit

• Adjustable velcro closure system with 3-position chest extension for anthropometric adaptability
• Lightweight construction for extended wear without compromising range of motion
• Available in multiple sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) to meet occupational safety fit requirements

Protection Scope

• Primary coverage: shoulders, upper back, and chest
• Acts as a splash barrier against cryogenic liquid exposure
• Designed for system integration with GERF® cryogenic apron and cryogenic gaiters for full lower-body and extremity protection

Limitations / Out of Scope

• Does NOT cover arms, hands, or lower body — complement with GERF® gloves, apron, and gaiters
• Not designed for pressurized cryogenic gas exposure
• Not suitable for immersion or prolonged submersion in cryogenic liquids
• Not a substitute for a full cryogenic suit in high-volume spill environments
